Laura Harris

Laura is a registered Paediatric Occupational Therapist and graduated from the University of Sydney in 2008. Laura has a keen passion for aiding children to realise and maximise their potential in all aspects of life, functionally and academically.

She has worked across Private practice, community and a diverse network of schools in Sydney, across regional NSW and isolated Indigenous communities advocating for children with disabilities.

Laura has extensive training in a multitude of areas related to paediatric occupational therapy and child development and she believes that an eclectic approach to therapy allows for a highly individualized, holistic treatment approach, that focusses on the child’s individual needs and interests. Laura believes in the power of relationship, and endeavours to implement creative and fun therapy sessions that maximise the child’s engagement and interests. This ensures therapy is meaningful, highly effective and tailored to each unique child, family, and situation. Seeing the possibilities in a child come to light and grow to fruition is Laura’s greatest passion and motivator.
Laura has been a local to the Port Stephens community for 10 years and has 2 bubbly young children. She enjoys the beach, music, travel and all things outdoor recreation.
