Jasmina Chapman
Behavioural Support Practitioner/ Provisional Psychologist
Jasmina is a Provisional Psychologist and Registered Behaviour Support Practitioner who works primarily with children and adolescents. Jasmina supports individuals with diverse needs, including autism, ADHD, anxiety, and depression, and is committed to providing care that is respectful, collaborative, and grounded in evidence‑based practice.
Guided by a person‑centred philosophy, Jasmina believes therapy should meet each individual exactly where they are. Jasmina works closely with clients and families to develop meaningful, achievable goals that reflect each person’s strengths, needs, and experiences. Creating a safe, supportive, and respectful environment is central to her approach, ensuring individuals feel understood, valued, and comfortable exploring challenges and building new skills.
Jasmina tailors her therapeutic style to each client’s communication preferences, developmental stage, and support needs. She provides a range of evidence‑based interventions, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), talk‑based therapy, and family therapy, with a focus on emotional regulation, mental health, and relational wellbeing.
In her role as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, Jasmina delivers behaviour therapy grounded in positive behaviour support principles. Her work includes functional behaviour assessments, the development of individualised behaviour support plans, and the implementation of ethical, respectful interventions designed to enhance quality of life and reduce behaviours of concern.
Outside of her clinical work, Jasmina enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and staying active. She values time in nature as a way to restore balance and maintain perspective. These principles align with her therapeutic practice.
