Esther Muriithi
Accredited Mental Health Social Worker

Esther is an AASW Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Clinical Supervisor with a background in psychology and over 17 years of experience in mental health practice. She works with people across the lifespan and has a particular interest in trauma, resilience, and complex presentations.
Esther supports individuals navigating the impacts of trauma, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, self-harm, and major life changes. She understands that seeking support can feel daunting and is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where people feel heard, supported, and empowered.
Alongside her therapeutic work, Esther provides clinical supervision to practitioners working in trauma-informed and complex practice settings. Her supervision style is collaborative, reflective, and strengths-based, with a strong focus on ethical practice, professional development, and practitioner wellbeing.
Esther draws on evidence-based, trauma-informed approaches, including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic, attachment-focused, and relational therapies. She is currently undertaking further postgraduate study, with a special interest in forensic psychology, to deepen her understanding of the links between trauma, mental health, and the justice system.
Outside of work, Esther enjoys travelling, staying active through sport and movement, and spending time in nature. She values balance, connection, and curiosity qualities that also inform her approach to therapy and supervision.
